Our survey is research into a better understanding of the volunteering and mentoring experience. All answers in this survey shall remain anonymous and will not be shared to third party sources and only be used to gain insight into our nonprofit cause. If you agree to these terms, accept.

Out of 27 responses:
 - Demographic majority: 20-30 yrs old
           College (undergrad) education
           Most consider volunteering (80%)
           Most of participants follow social media accounts of organizations (60%)
           Twitter (55%) > Facebook(25%) > Instagram/Reddit(20%)
- People typically dedicate 1-10 hours a  week to volunteering.
- Big obstacles: Application & inconvenience to schedule/location (Not enough time to do it)
    >A bit more minor, but fear of incompetence & lack of knowledge of opportunities.

- Most find opportunities through word of mouth then in second place, social media.
- Common perception of mentoring: Being a role model for someone.
- Pros of mentoring: Close bond to help someone grow.
   >On the idea that most don’t think mentoring isn’t masculine - mostly neutral. 

- 75% believe they don’t have time to mentor
- 50% don’t mind interacting with children
- The hprase “Empower Potential” is most popular
- Colors: Black, White, Blue, Green
- Pictures/Graphics are most popular
- Best adjectives: Kind & Helpful

-Being a Big is something more productive than sitting at the TV.
-Being helpful is the biggest draw for one- to take care of someone.
-When he goes volunteering, he wants to do something productive.
-Work/Volunteering balance is not difficult, as the free times usually line up.
-Being there for someone is the most important thing you can do- Just listen. You don’t need to worry about being the best role model.
-The images on the website shape how he expected mentoring to be like.

-Mentoring is time consuming (opinion).
     >“They need to grow a pair”
-Thinks that laziness is a key factor in lack of motivation.
- Advertising - Sporting events, masc events.
- Being a Big is rewarding.
- Clarify mentoring so men get a better idea of what it’s like.
- Matching process is a big obstacle.
- Liked that it was a chance to be a role model & someone to talk to.
